About the Owner
Hello, my name is Becky Behlmann-Bilyeu. I am the owner and Interior Designer at Lasting Impressions Home Remodel Center, Ltd. I have been in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry since 1979 and I love it. My father first owned the company before I did, and my grandfather, Ben, owned it before him. I have been working with my father since I was 10 years old. Home remodeling has always been an interest of mine. I can remember being a young girl and admiring the work of my father, thinking to myself, one day, I too might be as great as he. Since then, I have received many awards and certifications and have been published in several magazines, as well as news paper articles, for the work I have done for almost 40 years as a designer.
I am a professional Interior Designer and member of the American Society of Interior Designers. I have served on the board for a number of years of our local St. Louis chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. I have a huge passion and drive to better people's lives either by beautifying their homes with a new kitchen or bath, or turning their home into an accessible, safe place where disabilities are no longer a disadvantage. My drive to help those with disabilities led me to become an approved contractor for the state of Missouri as well as the state of Illinois. This has given me the opportunity to design and create adaptive home modifications in St. Louis and St. Charles, MO and adaptive equipment working with the Department of Mental Health, the Regional Centers of Missouri, the Productive Living Board, The Center Specialized Services, The Developmental Disabilities Resource Board, Paraquad, Mid-East Area Agency on Aging, the Veterans Association, Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, the Arya Foundation, local city grants for Home Improvements, and a number of other associations geared towards adaptive living.
